Travelling to Bratislava by bus and/or train
Travelling to Bratislava by bus is often a cost-effective and convenient option, with numerous international bus lines connecting the city to other major European hubs. Buses arrive at the central bus station, Mlynské Nivy, which is located close to the city centre and well-connected by local public transport.
Train travel to Bratislava is a fast and comfortable alternative, especially for journeys from nearby cities like Vienna or Prague. The city has two main train stations, with the central station (Hlavná stanica) offering easy access to the Old Town on foot or by public transit.
It is possible to find connections for both types of travel to Bratislava using the Slovak Journey Planner (www.cp.sk) or the websites of international companies such as FlixBus and/or Deutsche Bahn.
